  • Your first appointment will be to get to know each other and determine if we are a good fit therapeutically and relationally. We will review informed consent (with ample opportunity to ask questions and clarify any areas of uncertainty) and we will talk about your history. Human beings are complex, and we believe it is important to have the as much of the entire picture as possible before proceeding with any intervention.

    If either of us think it is not a good fit, we will provide you a list of referrals to ensure you find the appropriate person to support you on your journey.

  • First sessions can be scary and intimidating! Bring your most authentic you, plus anything you might want to work on or any questions you might have. We will go at a pace that feels comfortable to you.

  • We offer free 15 minute phone consultations to answer any questions and to facilitate a preliminary introduction, in a low risk format.

  • A therapy hour is booked for 60 minutes; 50 minutes for the session and 10 minutes for documentation and note taking. We will always make sure you are ok, safe, and stable before ending a session.

  • To become an independent practicing psychologist, individuals must complete 1600 hours of supervised practice under a fully registered psychologist. While they are completing those hours, they operate under the license "Registered Provisional Psychologist".

  • The cost for an individual, couples, or family session with a Registered Psychologist is $220/hour in accordance with the Psychologist's Association of Alberta recommended fee schedule.

    The cost for an individual, couples, or family session with a Registered Provisional Psychologist is $180/hour.

  • Yes, we direct bill to the following providers: Alberta Blue Cross, ASEBP, Canada Life, Chambers of Commerce, ClaimSecure, Desjardins, Equitable Life, First Canadian, Green Shield, GroupHEALTH, GroupSource, Industrial Alliance, Johnston Group, Manulife, Medavie Blue Cross (CAF, RCMP, VAC, IFHP), People Corporation, RWAM.

    Registered Provisional Psychologists may only direct bill to Alberta Blue Cross, Green Shield, and Medavie Blue Cross (CAF, RCMP, VAC, IFHP). However, they may still be covered under other plans not listed here. In those instances, please confirm coverage with your insurance provider.

  • If cost becomes a barrier to therapy, we offer sliding scale based on your financial situation.

  • Yes, we have therapists who are registered to bill under NIHB.
